IARC Summer School 2025: International Training in Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention

IARC Summer School 2025

The IARC Summer School 2025 concluded successfully at the IARC headquarters in Lyon, France, bringing together 72 participants from 43 countries. The programme featured two in-person modules:

  • 🧠 “Introduction to Cancer Epidemiology” (23–27 June 2025)

  • 🩺 “Implementing Cancer Prevention and Early Detection” (30 June–4 July 2025)

Participants had previously completed preparatory online activities, including self-paced video lectures, live webinars, and collaborative project work.

The IARC Summer School continues to serve as a key capacity-building initiative, offering a unique learning experience for epidemiologists, public health professionals, statisticians, oncologists, and healthcare providers seeking to deepen their understanding of cancer epidemiology and prevention strategies.

📚 Recordings from both modules are available online, providing ongoing access to IARC’s educational resources.

This global training opportunity reflects IARC’s commitment to strengthening cancer control through education and collaboration—key goals that also align with the mission of the EUCanScreen Joint Action.
