On 23 July 2025, IARC and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre launched a call for experts to develop a quality‑assurance (QA) scheme for cervical cancer care services under the EC‑CvC and Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
The call is open to clinicians, researchers, technical specialists, and also patients/caregivers, covering areas such as oncology, radiation, pathology, psycho‑oncology, palliative and integrative care.
The selected members will attend 2–3 monthly meetings (1–4 hours each), plus preparatory/follow‑up work, with applications due by 15 September 2025.
The general objective of EUCanScreen is to assure sustainable implementation of high-quality screening for breast, cervical and colorectal cancers, as well as implementation of the recently recommended screening programs – for lung, prostate and gastric cancers. EUCanScreen will facilitate the reduction of cancer burden and achieving equity across the EU.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s EU4HEALTH Programme under the Grant Agreement no 101162959
