Best Practices in action: how to transfer, implement, and sustain effective health promotion interventions for children (0-12) – Health4EUkids modular capacity-building programme

ISS Module

As part of the European Joint Action Health4EUKids – in which the Italian National Institute of Health (ISS) coordinates Work Package 4 (WP4) – a modular capacity-building programme has been developed, consisting of three modules. The material for Module 1 is now available on EpiCentro [https://www.epicentro.iss.it/en/obesity/joint-action-health4EUkids-wp4-programme-capacity-building-modulo1].

The aim of the programme is to share results, tools, and actionable strategies to support the transferability, sustainability, and scalability of the good practices Grünau Moves and Smart Family in various European contexts, following a public health approach.

The programme is free and open-access, and it is intended for anyone involved in promoting child health and responsive parenting, and interested in implementing good practices. This includes professionals in the health, social, and educational sectors, national, regional, or local stakeholders, policy makers and public authorities, as well as students working in the field of public health.

Health4EUKids -Your kid's health our priority! The “HEALTH4EUkids” Joint Action aims to implement health promotion and prevention strategies for child obesity across European countries. It seeks to share best practices and research findings, particularly focusing on the initiatives Grunau Moves from Germany and Smart Family from Finland. The project involves knowledge transfer, cooperation between member states, policy development, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles in families and communities. Its goal is to prevent childhood obesity, increase physical activity and healthy diet, and ensure the sustainability and transferability of successful practices to other member states.
