Actions undertaken to manage the project and to make sure that it is implemented as planned.
The general objectives of WP1 are:
(i) to ensure coordinating activities (administrative, financial, operative, scientific and technical management) of the JA.
(ii) to monitor the appropriateness and timely completion of all scheduled activities by ensuring quality and effectiveness of JA deliverables,
(iii) to have regular communication with all the WP leaders in order to assess the implementation of the JA and to identify any deviation from the timetable.
(iv) to inform all partners about the progress of the JA.
Communication and dissemination activities of the work carried out in the JA (outreach stakeholders); planning of communication activities.
The general objectives of WP2 are:
(i) to guarantee a well-coordinated communication between all participants of the JA
(ii) to maximise the dissemination of the JA’s efforts and results.
Actions are undertaken to verify if the project is being implemented as planned and reaches the objectives that had been set.
The general objective of WP3 is to assure and verify that the JA is implemented as planned and that it accomplishes the objectives defined. Also intends to assure that the produced knowledge and outcomes meet high quality standards, are visible and have a relevant impact on the countries.
The project evaluation will be based on two different components:
(i) A systematic and continuous monitoring of processes, outputs, outcomes and context ensuring:
– a timely reporting of issues in the process and implementation of appropriated measures; – production of the project outputs according to the planned activities;
– production of the benefits described in the specific objectives;
– sustainability of the JA during its execution.
(ii) A final evaluation of outcomes ensuring:
– an evaluation of the impact provided by the actions implemented at the country and European level;
– elaboration of the recommendations that will be elaborated at the end of the JA to help improving the programs and policies aiming to address childhood obesity in EU countries after the JA.
Develop and exchange knowledge, methodology and capacity building strategies for the transferability and sustainability of the JA actions and results.
The specific objectives of this WP are:
(i) to provide indication emerging from previous JAs and European initiatives to support the BPs implementation
(ii) to analyse the health promotion policies and programs to deal with childhood obesity in the political agenda of MSs, as pre-requisites to support the BPs implementation;
(iii) to support MSs and relevant stakeholders’ capacity building through analysis of barriers and facilitators, networking and learning
(iv) to support MSs and relevant stakeholders to integrate the JA’s results national, sub-national or local initiatives
Methodology, monitoring and implementation of actions of Grunau moves in countries.
The main objective of this work package is to transfer this best practice to a collection of deprived neighbourhoods in different countries around Europe. “Grunau moves” is a complex multilevel long-term intervention with focus on social work and community organizing. It is a participatory intervention with a vocation for
sustainability and culturally adapted with particular consideration of social and environmental conditions. The intervention focuses on building strong relationships, networks, and social bonds, transparency, trust and activation.
The main objectives are:
(i) Creating health promoting settings (childcare, schools) via increasing awareness, knowledge and skills, professional self-esteem, cooperation between local actors;
(ii) Creating environments to promote physical activity and health via advocacy and persuasion of policy makers – changes in street design, youth welfare planning;
(iii) Increasing physical activity and healthy diet in children and families with a focus on social norms, recognition and self-esteem.
Methodology, monitoring and implementation of actions of Smart family in countries.
The general objective of this WP is to support MSs to develop a monitoring system on childhood obesity adapted to the national contexts, well suited to policy requirements and sustainable over time.
The specific objectives of this WP is to support the development as well as the use of childhood obesity indicators for health policy evaluation and prioritization.
